Leighton Meester (born Leighton Meester) is a American model, singer and songwriter. Leighton Meester's professional career began as a girl when she played Blair Waldorf on the popular television series 'Gossip Girl'. She began acting as a young girl, appearing in local productions in the show "Wizard of Oz." Her passion for the field was growing. Her first job was as a model, and later in commercials. Through her modelling assignments, she's been associated with top companies like Herbal Essences and Vera Wang,' 'Jimmy Choo,' and 'Ralph Lauren.' Though she began working as model, she eventually started acting. Her acting career began with a cameo role in the TV show 'Law and Order'. She has since performed in various feature films and TV series that include 'Country Strength and 'Monte Carlo', and Killer Movie.
